Community Service and Continuous Education Committee
Responsibilities
Community Service:
- Preparing seminars and public lectures in the areas of the department to serve the community.
- Organizing and supervising short courses and conferences in the areas of the department for various community bodies.
- Organizing and supervising field visits by the department students and faculty members to serve the community.
- Organizing and supervising school students' visits to introduce the department's capabilities and attract them to this discipline.
- Organizing open days for visits by employees of companies, institutions, and the families of students to introduce the department, its capabilities, and the activities it carries out.
- Introducing the department's activities, competencies and research capabilities of faculty members, laboratories, and equipment available in the department by giving workshops and various media.
- Providing laboratory, research and advisory services to various community bodies.
Continuous Education:
- A complete survey of the community's need for continuing education, as well as department students and graduates.
- Organizing and implementing the program’s theoretical and applied training courses and providing the required capabilities, from halls and laboratories in the evening as needed.
- Contracting with trainers as needed.
- A complete survey of the community's needs for training and the provision of appropriate training courses.
