Responsibilities
Tasks for Admission of students in master and doctoral programs:
- Prepare and keep up-to-date all documentations for the PhD and MS program admission procedures.
- Receive all the graduate student applications and carrying the graduate studies admission process through the following:
- Study the applications and follow up with the applicants to complete the required documents for each case.
- Contact the applicant school in case document authentication is required.
- Contact the KSU graduate office in special cases such as conditional acceptance.
- Present the graduate studies committee recommendation to the department council for voting and final decision.
- Report back to the applicants and complete the E-Register initial approval or rejection.
- Prepare and issue the letter of the council decision to college of graduate study council.
Tasks of the academic advising for the program:
- Following-up with Student and keeping up-to-date electronic folder for each student that contains all the student's information such as transcripts, performance progress and thesis status.
- Conduct meeting with students to discuss their performance and the suggested timetable of their graduation.
- Propose a schedule of the graduate courses for each semester based on the number of graduate students and their status in the program.
- Review the thesis status for each student and report the grade for each semester whether "Complete" or "Continue in Thesis" for each student registered for thesis in that semester.
Tasks of supervising the diplomas and other IE programs in the department:
- Receiving requests and performing acceptance procedures.
- Create a course schedule for the two semesters.
- Follow-up with the lecturers of the courses, the diploma projects, and the field trips.
- Follow-up with students and with the implementation of the programs.
- Reviewing and developing the program.
