Responsibilities
- Guiding and advising students who have academic problems or high absence to help them in developing their academic progress.
- Developing a caring program for students who have academic excellency to encourage them and to put their names in department and college list of distinct students.
- Guidance to students requiring social and psychological assistance, assuring the privacy of any student’s information within the advisory members.
- Coordination with department chairman and Vice Dean for Academic Affairs concerning student’s status and actions required to help him.
- Carrying advisory supporting work (appointment for the advisory members for any probable meetings and extracting information about students).
- Contributing to the activities that help in identifying the department and its activities.
- Contributing to familiarizing students of the third secondary level with the department's systems and curricula.
- Conducting the necessary studies to identify the skills and knowledge required in the graduates.
- Appointing academic advisors from teaching staff and register them in registration system.
- Collecting a list of student absenteeism with 40% or more to study their cases.
- Submitting cases that could not be resolved within the department to the Student Guidance Unit of the college.
