Understand the advanced scientific and engineering principles underlying the fields of knowledge and developments in the fields of Industrial Systems, Human Systems, or Manufacturing Engineering.

Complex problem solving:

Acquire the advanced mathematical and computational skills necessary for solving challenging and practical engineering problems in the fields of Industrial Systems, Human Systems, or Manufacturing Engineering.

Ph.D.GA3

Original and distinguished research:

Develop the ability for critical and systematic thinking in solving complex engineering problems and applying research skills in highly advanced and practical research in the fields of Industrial Systems, Human Systems, or Manufacturing Engineering.

Ph.D.GA4

Modern tool usage:

Adopt modern engineering and highly advanced research tools including computerized knowledge base of manufacturing and industrial engineering, operation and human resource management, and of other disciplines, to provide an integrated view of engineering problems and solutions

Demonstrate proficiency over established highly advanced engineering methods and tools, including ICT, to solve complex practical engineering problems in the fields of Industrial Systems, Human Systems, or Manufacturing Engineering.

Professional, effective and proactive skills:

Know and represent professional ethical behavior and responsibilities towards their profession, community, and have positive and responsible proactive approaches to maintain professional integrity.

Communicate proficiently, in oral, written, presentation, information searching and listening skills. Be assertive and articulate, be able to negotiate responsibly and persuade others.

Goal-1: Develop state of art, knowledge, and transfer new technologies of industrial engineering to serve the needs of society

Goal-2:Provide qualified doctorates to contribute to research and development (R&D), and education related to industrial engineering

Goal-3:Contribute effectively to scientific research

 

Program Objectives (POs) for IE PhD Program

PO1: Provide substantive knowledge in the areas of industrial engineering through a conducive environment.

PO2: Excel the analytical, methodological, and technological skills related to industrial engineering disciplines.

PO3: Strengthen the graduates’ ability to identify, formulate research plans, and conduct critical original research

PO4: Enhance graduates’ capabilities by providing them with modern methodologies and technologies in the field of industrial engineering

PO5: Participate in scientific research activities within the university and with government/private sectors.
