Saudi Society for Chemical Engineering
The Saudi Society for Chemical Engineering is a scientific organization affiliated with the General Administration of Scientific Societies at King Saud University. Its mission is to promote scientific thought in the fields of chemical engineering, advance and stimulate its development, and foster scientific communication among its members. The society also provides theoretical and practical scientific consultations in the field of chemical engineering, aiming to enhance the scientific and professional performance of its members. Additionally, it facilitates the exchange of scientific outputs and ideas in its areas of interest among relevant entities and institutions inside and outside the Kingdom.
Establishment Date
The Saudi Society for Chemical Engineering was established by a decision of the King Saud University Council in its fifth session of the 1421-1422 AH academic year on 16/11/1421 AH. This decision was based on the recommendation of the University’s Scientific Council in its eighth meeting on 30/8/1421 AH and in accordance with Article 20 of the Higher Education and Universities Regulation.
Vision
To advance the profession of chemical engineering in the Kingdom and strengthen its connection to industrial and technological progress, aspiring to achieve high-ranking positions among engineering disciplines.
Mission
To enhance the outcomes of education in chemical engineering departments, organize and support the profession of chemical engineering in both the public and private sectors, disseminate advanced knowledge and modern technologies in the engineering field among chemical engineers, and prepare a highly qualified scientific generation for the chemical engineering profession both academically and professionally through university education.
