Exploration Engineering Laboratory
Exploration Engineering Laboratory
Engineering exploration is the first stage to be acquired in order to predict the possibility of H-C presence in a defined area. Accomplishment of this part of mission is based on the use of up dated technologies which can be applied to an up stream exploration. Recognition of lithology types as well as geological structures present, constitute one of the main target in this laboratory. The exploration laboratory in the department of Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering, comprise different equipments. These equipments are able to provide the knowledge on geological field based on: sample analysis, stereoscopy, maps, and microscope. Softwares dealing with such available data are also accessible. In this laboratory, habitually it is taught for students that mostly the obtained data is stimulated prior to any development of an oilfield.
