Materials Science and Engineering
Materials Science and Engineering
Materials Science and Engineering encompasses the fabrication, characterization, design, and modelling of various engineering materials ranging from nanoscale to macroscopic. Research areas include the characterization and development of multifunctional materials, including aluminum and magnesium-based structural alloys. Establishing processing-microstructure-property paradigm via Thermo mechanical Processing (TMP) Technologies and multiscale material simulations. The integrated framework of research activities is attributed to texture evolutions, precipitation, and phase transformations under variable temperature conditions and with the possibility of concurrent plastic deformation. A second central theme is synthesising and modelling polymer-based nanofiber membranes for water treatment applications.
