Admission Requirements
Applicants for the Master of Science in Civil Engineering program must meet the following criteria:
- Hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering science from a program accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) or an equivalent recognized accreditation body. The degree should be in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline, awarded by King Saud University or another recognized institution.
- Have achieved a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.75 out of 5 (or equivalent) with an overall grade of “Very Good” or higher.
- Applicants holding a “Good” grade with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.25 out of 5 (or equivalent) may also be considered if they have at least seven (7) years of relevant professional experience.
- Applicants whose undergraduate specialization differs from Civil Engineering should contact the department to confirm whether their field of study qualifies as a related discipline before applying through the electronic admission portal.
- Obtain a minimum score of 5.5 on the IELTS Academic Test or an equivalent English proficiency test.
- Achieve a minimum score of 65 on the General Aptitude Test for University Graduates (or an officially recognized equivalent test).
