The Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Civil Engineering at KSU offers two study plans/options and to graduate with a Master of Science in Civil Engineering, students must complete:
Plan A: Thesis-option
Coursework: Complete 26 credit hours, including:
9 credit hours of common courses.
15 credit hours of specialized Civil Engineering courses.
1 credit hour for the thesis proposal preparation.
1 credit hour for the M.Sc. thesis.
Research Output: Produce scientific output in one of the following forms:
Publishing a scientific paper in a journal.
Publishing a scientific paper in a conference.
Registering a patent
Plan B: Coursework-option (non-thesis)
Coursework: Complete 39 credit hours, including:
6 credit hours of compulsory math courses.
12 credit hours of core courses from the desired track.
21 credit hours of elective courses.
Research/graduation Project: Completion and successful defense of a research project (3 credit hours).
