Since its establishment, the vice deanship for Development and Quality has been working to achieve its objectives of implementing highest standards of quality in the college educational programs, meeting the expectations and requirements of beneficiaries of these programs and educational facilities and measure their level of satisfaction, and promoting the culture of quality within the college. In 2008, the college has developed a strategic plan which was then revised in 2011 to coincide with the University's strategic plan. The College also satisfied the ISO 9001:2008 requirements in quality management in June 2009. In addition, the college acquired accreditation from the American Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) in July 2010 for a period of six years, in the following undergraduate programs: Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering, and Chemical Engineering and renewed this accreditation for another six yeras in 2015. The College also acquired accreditation for seven years from from the National Commission for Academic Accreditation (NCAAA) for all of its undergraduate academic programs in 2015. The college is working on strategic programs and projects of the college strategic plan initiatives, while continuing to preserve its accomplishment, coordination and follow-up of ongoing development plans.
